The main responsibility for the large number of children - victims of RTA is born by parents, teachers, participants in road traffic, government institutions, organizers of traffic, municipal authorities, etc.
Children as participants in road traffic are mostly pedestrians. This requires giving special information and advice for their safety.
Children must cross on safe places, such as "zebra" type crossings (with traffic lights), subways, pedestrian overpasses and bridges, pedestrian islands in the road lane or on a place far away from parked cars.
When approaching the place where there are children on the road or in proximity to it, the driver is obliged to reduce the speed, and, if necessary - to stop.
